To enhance its UK footprint, NetEnt establishes a new subsidiary in this European country and sets up an office in London. The Sweden-based developer seeks new talents for the new office that should support UK operators and help them grow a market share.
Strategically Important Step
One of the leading software providers in the online gaming industry has announced that they have established NetEnt UK Ltd, a new subsidiary. The new NetEnt office is located in the Stanley Building at King Cross, London. So far, the UK is the developer’s largest market and they comment moving to it as a strategically important step. Setting up an office in London is an example of the Swedish developer’s commitment to the local market.
“We see a short-term opportunity to grow our market share by being closer to our UK based customers. Our increased UK presence is one of the NetEnt Group’s key strategic initiatives this year”, says Therese Hillman, CEO of NetEnt.
Looking for Top Talents
Andy Whitworth has been appointed Managing Director NetEnt UK & Chief Strategy Officer. Together with Rob Fell, Director of Platform Products & Services, he opened the UK office. Commenting on the establishment of the new subsidiary, Whitworth says that the UK team gathers top talents from the industry and that the office will grow further by hiring new talented employees in the next few months.
“We have already recruited some key talent and now we begin a period of recruitment for the second wave,” says Whitworth adding that they are delighted to be open for business in the UK.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, NetEnt has its offices set up in Saint Julian’s, Malta, Gothenburg, Kiev, Gibraltar, Hoboken, New Jersey and Krakow. They have established subsidiaries in these markets to provide operators with products that include video slots, table game and Live casino solutions. Founded in 2016, the gaming company has more than 1,000 employees from around the world.
