INTRODUCTION

Evolution Gaming’s Live Blackjack is as close to industry standard as it gets! While many developers have their own version, few match the quality and fun this software provider can create. The table follows standard blackjack rules. It is played with a live dealer rather than a computer and has seven slots for players. If all positions on a table are full, you can choose to bet behind one of the active punters. The stream quality is top-notch, as we would expect from this developer. The dealer keeps the table engaged, while the presence of other players makes each round feel more intimate.

Assuming perfect strategy application with no side bets, the RTP of Live Blackjack is 99.29%. The dealer must stand on all 17s, both hard and soft. The dealer will peek for blackjack if his up card is an Ace. There are two side bets you can play in this game: Perfect Pairs and 21+3. Perfect Pairs rewards you for getting a matching pair in your first two cards.21+3 pays if you create a strong three-card poker hand with the dealer’s face-up card.

HOW TO PLAY LIVE BLACKJACK

When you first join a table, you will want to take one of the seven available seats. If none of them is available, you can choose to bet behind one of the active players instead. That said, you can occupy several seats yourself if they are available! Players are asked to pick from a coin value and make their bets before the timer runs out. You can only wager on side bets if you place the main bet first. If you finish wagering before the timer runs out, you can select Deal Now.

Every player hand receives two cards, and the option to Hit, Stand, Double Down or Split. Splitting can only be done if the player has a pair as their first two cards. Doubling Down can be played on any initial two cards. For both Splits and Doubles, you have to make an additional wager to play them. If you split an Ace, you will only be dealt a single card.

After making your decision for all your hands, the round continues. The dealer will reveal their face down card and will keep drawing if they are below seventeen. If either the player or dealer goes above 21, they automatically lose the round. Otherwise, the side that is closest to 21 will win the round. The competition is only between you and the dealer. Other players do not impact whether you win or lose.

PAYOUTS

None of the main bets come close to matching the 100:1 reward granted by the 21+3 side bet. Indeed, the top prize during the main game is a blackjack win, which pays 3:2 when won. Regular wins earn you a 1:1 reward, while Insurance bets offer a 2:1 payout. The odds of winning Insurance are much worse than the prize it offers, so we advise skipping it.

what we like
