Pragmatic Play announced an upcoming Live casino game unlike anything else on the market. Dubbed Sic Bac, this game is set to combine the fast-paced gameplay of Baccarat with the dice-rolling excitement of Sic Bo.
We only have partial information about what the game is going to look like, but the previews look promising. Here’s what we know about Sic Bac so far.
Players, Bankers, and Dice
The premise of the game is quite simple. Two sets of automated shakers roll two sets of colored dice – the blue Player dice, and the red Banker dice. The goal is for players to predict which of these two sets of dice will show a higher pip total.
The basic gameplay loop consists of players placing bets, the dice rolling, and results. This means that it’s a very fast-paced game, with rounds only lasting a few seconds each. In that regard, it’s quite similar to Baccarat, except dice are used instead of cards.
So where’s the Sic Bo in all of this?
Well, you can also place side bets. In this case, these appear to be almost identical to wagers you would find at a typical Sic Bo table. This includes Doubles, Any Double, Triples, and so on. Essentially, you can predict other things about the results, and not just compare the Player/Banker values.
Other Information
All in all, the game looks promising for players who enjoy simple but fast-paced games. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Mega Sic Bac find success in Asia, though that’s just an educated guess. Also, it’s worth mentioning that Evolution already attempted something like this with 2021’s Bac Bo, to mixed results. You can find our review of that game here.
Beyond that, all we know for sure is that the Mega Sic Bac will enjoy an RTP rate of up to 98.24%. This makes it comparable to baccarat, and outright better than most Sic Bo games in terms of RTP.
Mega Sic Bac will go live on all Pragmatic Play casinos on July 3rd, 2024.
