INTRODUCTION

While blackjack has always been popular among players, not many enjoyed its online variant at first. While online casinos seem like a no-brainer nowadays, it was not always the case. Software providers fought an uphill battle to make enjoying casino games online as widespread as it is today. One such software provider is Amatic and their Blackjack 21 game.

This title comes with an RTP of 99.21% if you stick to playing basic blackjack strategy. The game is played with six decks, and each deck has fifty-two cards each. The dealer draws up to seventeen. Casino members can double their stake if the sum of their first two cards is nine, ten, or eleven. You can also split aces, but can only draw one more card after doing so. Players can play up to three hands at once.

HOW TO PLAY BLACKJACK 21

Because this is an RNG-powered blackjack table, there is no timer for placing your bets. You can choose how much you want to wager at every step of the way. Perfect for new players who are still getting the hang of basic blackjack strategy! This way, you can consult whatever guide you are using without worrying about placing your bet quickly.

After placing your bet, you press Deal to draw the cards. Four cards are drawn initially. Two are granted to the player, while two are kept for the dealer. Players can see the first card drawn by the computer, but the second is held in a face-down position. Players can then proceed to hit, stand, double, or split. Doubling and splitting are only possible under specific circumstances.

After you finish players your hands, the dealer will make their move. If needed, the dealer will continue drawing extra cards. After that finishes, the computer will compare your active hands to its own. If you won by landing twenty-one or more, you receive the appropriate cash prize. If either side goes over twenty-one, they will bust and lose that round automatically.

PAYOUTS

Without side bets, rewards in this game are rather simple. If you win, you will receive a 1:1 cash prize in most cases. If your first two cards form exactly twenty-one, then you have scored a blackjack win. This kind of win pays slightly better than a standard win. Standard wins pay 1:1, while blackjack wins pay 3:2.

If it looks like the dealer will have blackjack, you can play the insurance bet. Insurance pays 2:1 if won, but it does mean you lose the main wager. Insurance requires an additional wager on top of the bet you play at the start of the round.

BLACKJACK 21 (AMATIC): CASINOBLOKE’S VERDICT

While we would love to claim Amatic’s Blackjack 21 knocked us off our feet, we cannot do so. This game was incredible when it first came out. However, it has become dated in many ways since it first launched. With so many other blackjack games out there, we cannot see ourselves recommend this one. Not when so many better options are available to players.
