INTRODUCTION
European Blackjack is determined by a strict set of rules that many fans swear by. While not that difficult to find, it still took some effort. Then along came Betsoft, bringing this fantastic table to a much wider online audience! The game is played with six decks, which are reshuffled at the start of every round. Whether you win or lose is determined by RNG instead of live dealers drawing cards. As if with previous Betsoft entries, the animations are stellar and enjoyable to watch, while giving you an option to skip them.
The developer does not disclose any information related to its RTP, but we have found it to be 99.34%. Fortunately, European Blackjack has a detailed strategy guide, which will improve your winning chances as long as you follow it. Up to three hands can be played at once, which is a major boon for Betsoft’s release. That said, it is somewhat harmed by the absence of any fun side bets.
HOW TO PLAY EUROPEAN BLACKJACK
All your chips can be found beneath the playing field. Find one that suits your budget, and place them in all the betting areas you plan to play. If you have wagered in the previous round, you can select Repeat to re-bet the same money. Since this is a single-player RNG-powered table, there is no timer. Take your time and adjust the stake as much as you like. Then, when you are ready to play, just click on the Deal button.
The dealer will then proceed to draw cards. You will receive two cards for every active hand, but the dealer will only draw one card on their end. At this point, you will be asked to Hit, Stand, Split or Double. Doubling is only possible if your hand has a value of nine, ten or eleven. You can also double after splitting. You can split any pair of cards, but you can only split once in one round. Splitting two Aces and getting 21 afterwards does not count as winning blackjack.
When you finish playing, the dealer will draw their second card. They may continue drawing more until their hand value becomes 17 or higher. At that point, the game will check if either side has gone over 21, which results in a bust. If neither side busted, the next check is who got closer to 21. The hand value closest to 21 wins the round unless matched in value.
PAYOUTS
Fortunately, you can always rely on blackjack to provide a good reward for your troubles! When your first two cards form a 21, you are rewarded with a 3:2 payout! Regular wins score a standard even money prize, with only one exception. If you successfully call an Insurance bet, you receive a 2:1 payout! That said, the odds of winning Insurance is far too low for that kind of prize. Because of that, we do not recommend playing this bet.

EUROPEAN BLACKJACK (BETSOFT): CASINOBLOKE’S VERDICT
Betsoft’s European Blackjack is great for players looking to change how their favourite game works very slightly. It does not introduce new mechanics like Pontoon does. Instead, it alters a few rules here and there to give the blackjack we know and love a breath of fresh air. Betsoft has done an outstanding job with this table. Hats off to them!
