INTRODUCTION
When we think of Evolution, our first association is often with Live casino games. However, that is not always the case. The software provider has also begun experimenting with RNG-powered titles with their First Person series. Now, it is receiving a new addition in the form of First Person American Roulette. This release has no creative additions Evolution is known for. It is just plain old American Roulette.
Of course, that means this table features two zeroes instead of one. The wheel has thirty-eight positions total, which means a lower return to player. The remaining thirty-six numbers are split into red and black zones in the same way as in European Roulette. The game uses Evolution’s standard user interface, which is very easy to use. You can also play some side bets using the racetrack.
HOW TO PLAY FIRST PERSON AMERICAN ROULETTE
Each round starts with a betting period. Players can place their bets on any position on the betting board. You place your bet by choosing one of the available coins and placing them on the position you want to play. Unique to Evolution’s First Person American Roulette is the fact the stacked chips match your available balance. Players can bet one number or several numbers simultaneously.
The more numbers a single bet covers, the greater your chances of winning are. However, that also lowers your chances of winning. Depending on how many numbers a bet covers, you can split them into inside and outside bets. Outside bets cover at least twelve numbers, making them the safer option to play. Inside wagers feature fewer numbers, but better payouts to tempt you to play them.
Once you finish placing your bets, the wheel will spin and display the winning number. If one of your wagers covered that number, you receive an appropriate payout. The next round begins after wins are paid out.
PAYOUTS
How much you win depends on the type of wager you played. For outside bets, their lower risk ensures payouts have to be kept low. Playing red/black, odd/even and 1-18/19-36 will all result in a 1:1 payout when won. The dozen and column wagers have higher payouts, which are 2:1. The increased payout means they cover fewer numbers though. While even money bets cover eighteen, dozen and column only cover twelve numbers.
Inside bets are more varied, since each wager covers a different number of positions. The less numbers a wager covers, the better its reward is. You can see all inside bets and their payouts listed below.
- Line – 5:1, covers six numbers
- Corner – 8:1, covers four numbers
- Street – 11:1, covers three numbers
- Split – 17:1, covers two numbers
- Straight – 35:1, covers just one number
what we like
- High quality American Roulette
- Neighbour bets
- Can easily switch to Live casino version
what we don’t like
- American Roulette has a lower RTP than its European counterpart
FIRST PERSON AMERICAN ROULETTE (EVOLUTION): CASINOBLOKE’S VERDICT
Despite its flaws, American Roulette remains a popular release among players. As Evolution expands into the North American market, the developer launching this game was inevitable. However, they made sure to put in the extra effort to get it right. The result speaks for itself. A fantastic title for casino members who want to enjoy some double zero action.
