INTRODUCTION
New video poker games are relatively rare in recent years. As slots and Live casino releases dominate the headlines, you would be forgiven for missing this title. iSoftBet decided to throw their hat into the ring with the introduction of a traditional video poker game. Jacks or Better does not try to reinvent the wheel or bring some new special features into the mix. It plays familiar, allowing experienced players to put their strategy knowledge to use.
Even if you have never played video pokers before, the developer made sure to make controls intuitive. You can change your coin value using the arrow buttons. The number of active coins is changed by pressing change bet or by selecting the payouts above the playing field. The more coins you play with, the better your cash prize will be. As such, you should do your best to play with all five active for the optimal RTP.
HOW TO PLAY JACKS OR BETTER
The core gameplay of Jacks or Better is very simple. After setting up your bet, you press the Deal button. This will draw five cards, which you need to use to form a valid five-card poker hand. Once cards are drawn, you can choose what cards you want to keep and which ones you should discard. After you select what cards to keep, press Deal again to proceed to the next step.
Kept cards will remain in position, while discarded cards are replaced. If this new five-card hand forms jacks or better, then you receive a cash prize. Once you win a round, you can choose to gamble it or collect the prize. If you collect the prize, it is added to your balance and can be used to keep playing. The next round starts at this point.
PAYOUTS
The regular RTP for this release sits at 96.06% when playing with one, two, three or four coins active. However, your RTP increases to 97.30% if you are playing with all five coins active. If you want the highest chances of winning, we recommend playing with all five coins.
How much you win per round depends on the quality of your winning hand. The better the five-card poker hand you form, the higher your cash prize will be. Obviously, part of this comes down to luck. However, since you can keep individual cards, skilled players can keep cards with the highest odds of winning.
Another thing to keep in mind is that your payouts change depending on how many coins you have active. We listed all paying combinations and their payouts below. The payouts are listed in coins. The first row starts with just one coin active, and the final row has all five coins enabled.
