INTRODUCTION
If you watch TV, you are probably familiar with Deal or No Deal. The show was quite popular across the globe, creating a massive audience. Evolution already tried to cash into that with its release. Now, Playtech is taking a crack at it with Deal or No Deal: The Big Draw. This game keeps with the show aesthetic while adding ways for gamblers to win big.
While the game seems complicated at first, players quickly get the hang of it once they see it in action. The developer also has an excellent intro video that explains how to play the title. It plays when the game launches for the first time.
HOW TO PLAY DEAL OR NO DEAL: THE BIG DRAW
At the start of each round, players have to buy a ticket. The ticket sets your initial wager. You can also see what kind of rewards you will get for that wager on both sides of the screen. After buying a ticket, you can boost those prizes to have bigger payouts. Each boost costs money but adds one of five values to one of the prizes. The selected value is picked randomly between five predetermined sums.
Upon buying a ticket and completing boosts, the round proceeds to the big draw. Sixteen briefcases are set aside here. Fifteen cases are marked with numbers, while the sixteenth is reserved for the player. A bingo machine draws balls marked with numbers. The machine will draw twenty balls out of sixty. If a ball draws a number corresponding to a case, its prize is revealed and then removed.
To get a win, you need the game to remove at least seven briefcases in those twenty drawn balls. This will allow you to choose how to proceed in the round. The banker will offer you a cash prize. You can take it using Deal, or open the prize inside your case using No Deal.
EXTRA FEATURES
Players can purchase additional ball draws under two circumstances. You can buy more balls if you did not remove seven cases during the initial draw. Alternatively, you can keep buying more balls instead of choosing Deal or No Deal. If you remove more than seven cases from the board, all payouts are increased by a multiplier. The cost of buying additional balls depends on what kind of reward it will produce.
Playtech’s Deal or No Deal: The Big Draw also has a special side bet. The gameplay of it reminds us of Evolution’s Mega Ball. You buy a bingo card with 3×3 lines per card. Your goal is to complete lines on the card using the drawn balls. The more lines you complete, the higher your cash prize will be. The minimum price per card is the same as the ticket price you paid for that round.
Only the first twenty balls that are drawn in each round count for the side bet. It features an RTP of 95.38%, which is seriously lower than the main bet. It also features the best possible reward in this release, worth 1000x for six lines. Each ticket you buy awards wins separately, allowing you to score multiple line wins.
PAYOUTS
How much you can win with each round depends on two things. How much you initially bet on your ticket and if you used any boosters. The highest possible prize you can win from the main bet is 500x your total stake. Winning multipliers range from 0.1x up to 20x. This refers to the amount of money you bet on each ticket. With a 98.45% RTP, Deal or No Deal: The Big Draw is one of the highest paying game shows out there.
